Enrofloxacin, 25 Grams
Enrofloxacin, 25 Grams
This listing is for twenty-five grams of 99+% purity Enrofloxacin HCl with no fillers or other ingredients, in the form of a fine powder. AquariCure Enrofloxacin HCl is an effective internal (mixed with food) and external (water) broad-spectrum antibiotic treatment for a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Enrofloxacin HCl is water-soluble, stable in a range of water pH and salinity levels, is generally well-tolerated by fish and is used to treat a variety of systemic bacterial infections. Most bacterial infections in fish are caused or exacerbated by improper aquarium hygiene, so proper cleansing of the tank is also necessary when infections occur.

Water Bath: Remove your activated charcoal/carbon filter, biological filter, and UV sterilizer prior to applying the medication in a separate hospital/bath tank. Treat water with a pre-dissolved aqueous solution of Enrofloxacin HCl at a concentration between 0.100g to 0.200g per 10 gallons (10 mg to 20mg per gallon or 2.5mg-5mg per liter) depending on the severity of the problem. Place fish in water bath for 5 hours a day for 5 days, with a 50% fresh medicated water change between daily baths. Move fish to a non-medicated tank after each bath session. The use of an accurate scale is highly recommended, but a leveled 1/4 teaspoon measure (1.25ml volume, do not confuse with tablespoon measure!) holds approximately 0.60g (600mg), so dissolving that amount in a conveniently divisible volume of water and dispensing the appropriate amount of solution can be done with acceptable accuracy without a scale.
Food: For treating smaller aquarium fish infections orally, prepare medicated food with 10mg Enrofloxacin HCl per 10 grams of food and feed regularly for 10-14 days. For larger ornamental fish, feed medicated food prepared in such a way to dose the fish at a rate of 10mg/kg of fish (4.5mg/lb of fish) every 48 hours, for 10 days. Apply the Enrofloxacin HCl in aqueous solution evenly to the food and then allow the food to dry.
These directions are intended as a general guideline, not a specific treatment regimen for your specific species and circumstances. Enrofloxacin HCl has been found to sometimes cause collagen disorders in humans and mammals and can cause irreversible tendon rupture and nerve damage, so keep secure from children or pets in a cool, dry and dark location. Our freeze dried foods and pellets are packed in zip lock bags for easy use and in a bubble pack or a hard box for secure shipping. Keep in mind fish food is generally fragile, and there may always be smaller pieces and fine fragments in your order.
We take pride in the high quality products we produce. Our freeze dried foods and pellets are packed with nutrients to make your fish grow fat and healthy. Our blackworms are grown, cleaned and processed entirely indoors (in troughs in large sheds). This means that there is no potential for external pollutants (bird droppings, rats, etc) that many outdoor growers face. Our water is single-pass (not recycled) mountain spring water resulting in an impeccable environment for our worms. We specialize in freeze-drying all of our food products.
